Carnage at a wedding party in Kabul

KABUL (SW) – A brazen suicide bombing at a wedding hall in Kabul killed at least 63 people late on Saturday.

According to the Ministry of Interior this attack at the Dubai City wedding hall, 63 people got killed and 180 others got injured. Meanwhile, eye-witnesses have said the toll is much higher.

The incident took place on the main Daurl Aman road at around 10:30 pm inside the hall. A public health official at the Isteqlal Hospital said in a social media post that the number of victims is overwhelming.

Friends and family members of the victims have vehemently criticized the government for failing to stop such instances from reoccurring.

There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
